About Navy Wives Clubs of America, Inc.

Navy Wives Clubs of America, Inc. is the only national non-profit organization of Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard enlisted spouses. Our organization was chartered in the United States by clubs that we chartered. We were founded in Long Beach, California, on June 3, 1936. In October 1984, the United States Congress granted NWCA a Federal Charter.

The purpose of NWCA was to unify all spouses of sea service enlisted sailors into bonds of mutual assistance, friendship, and welfare for their families and the communities in which they reside.

There are currently 23 clubs across the United States. Regular Membership of the NWCA is available to spouses of active duty personnel in the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Members At Large are also eligible to join.

Associate membership is available to those who are not eligible for regular membership but are still interested in the educational and charitable objectives of the organization.

Benefits of Navy Wives Scholarship

• The number of available funds will determine the annual scholarship award.
• Based on the number and merit of applicants, this Scholarship offers only 30 awards each year.

Criteria for Eligibility

• The applicant must be natural-born, legally adopted, stepson or daughter of an Enlisted Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Navy member on active duty or retired with pay, or the child or son of a deceased member.
• The dependent must have a valid United States Uniformed Services Identification & Privileges card.
• To be eligible for the Scholarship, a candidate must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA or an equivalent in high school.
