Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited university, college, or law school within the United States for the spring.

It includes seniors from high schools and freshmen, sophomores juniors, seniors from college, or law students (L1 L1, L2, and 3.). Candidates must also adhere to all the guidelines laid out within the “Essay Submission Procedure” section below.

Essay Topic

To be eligible to participate in the contest, contestants must submit a 600-word essay to answer the following questions:

The growth of autonomous driving technology has led to many companies to begin testing self-driving vehicles on our roadways.  With this technology comes new challenges dealing with public safety on our roads. What safety challenges do these self-driving cars present and what type of regulations should we consider to ensure safe roads for the public?
